The Sports Ground is a public space and may be used for casual play. It is also home to Castlethorpe Cricket and Football Clubs.
There is a multi-use area which has facilities for tennis, 5-a-side football and basketball. Access to this area is by key obtained by annual subscription, currently £30.
Dogs are not permitted in the Sports Ground even if on a lead with the owner cleaning up after them. The footpath at either end has been fenced off. Please use Castle Field if walking a dog from the Thrupp Close end to the Lodge Farm Court end. This is important as dog fouling on the playing fields makes them dirty and very unhealthy.
The Sports Ground is managed by the Parish Council though it is hoped that a Sports Ground Committee will be formed to allow direct participation by users.
The Sports Ground and the Cricket Pavilion are also available for private hire.

Would hirers please note that they must clean the pavilion at the end of their use so that it is in a clean condition and ready for the next users. Hirers must also take all rubbish away at the end of the hire – it cannot be left outside the ground as there is no collection service.
