The Village Hall

The Village Hall is used by a number of village organisations including Pre-School, Short Mat Bowls, Mini-Strikers, Youth Club, WI, Craft Club and Parish Council.

It was originally built as a ‘Board School’ in 1867 by the Carrington family. The new school was built in 1891 and the previous building was then gifted to the Parish Council as a community hall.

The Village Hall is managed by a committee consisting of the main using organisations who advise the Parish Council on maintenance and improvements and the hiring rates. The hiring rates are kept as low as possible by fund-raising.

Officers of the Village Hall Committee are published here
