Parish Councils are the first tier of local government in England. Although there are often two higher tiers, District or Borough Councils and County Councils, Milton Keynes Council is a ‘unitary authority’ so there is only one higher tier.

Parish Councillor Appointments & Responsibilities
At its Annual General Meeting on 9th May 2011, the Parish Council elected Cllr Philip Ayles to be its Chair and Cllr John Keane to be its Vice-Chair.
In addition to their general Parish Councillor Duties, Councillors are appointed to two Committees, have a number of individual responsibilities and represent the Parish Council at certain external meetings. Details are contained within this article.

Parish Plan Review
An annual review was held of the actions in the Parish Plan on Monday 25th January at the Village Hall.
