Keeping fit

Circuit training on Mondays

For anyone who wants to get fit and lose weight, there is Circuit Training with Angela Bevan of Bevan Fitness from 6-7 pm every Monday in the Village Hall at just £5 a session. No need to book, just come along and join in. More information on www.bevanfitness.co.uk or phone 07899 968630.

Pilates on Tuesdays

Anna O Fitness holds weekly Pilates classes in the Village Hall from 6-7pm on Tuesdays. For more details contact Anna on 07767 454497 or email annaofitness@gmail.com. There’s more information on Anna’s website www.annaofitness.com.

Get fit to music on Wednesdays

Zumba is a high energy dance-based fitness class carried out to the infectious rhythms of Latin and international music. And Castlethorpe’s very own Nicky Birchall is holding Zumba sessions in the Village Hall at 6.15pm each Wednesday. The cost is just £5 a session.

There’s no need to book — just turn up … and remember to bring water!

Castlethorpe Cricket Club

Castlethorpe Cricket Club play 40 over matches on Saturdays and mid-week T20 cup matches in the SNCL and arrange friendly matches on Sundays to encourage the development of current and new cricketers. If you’re a cricket fan, why not come along to the Sports Ground and watch one of the home matches this season. For a complete list click here.

New Police Community Forum Group

The first meeting of the newly formed Community Forum Group takes place on Tuesday 25th July at 7.30pm.

The meeting is being held at the Castlethorpe Village Hall

This is a public meeting and is your opportunity to speak to your local Neighbourhood Police Team, about the community forum group and to discuss any local issues or concerns you may have.

July 27: Historical Society Talk

Castlethorpe Historical Society’s 2017 season of talks continues on Thursday July 27 in the Village Hall, starting at 7.30pm, with historian Gordon Rogers revealing all about the top-secret Buckinghamshire base nicknamed Winston Churchill’s Toyshop that developed the weapons which helped win the Second World War

Admission for non-members is £2, free to members.
